Dawgs mascot speaks out

Football season is here which means Spike is back too! Spike is thrilled to cheer the football team on with the cheerleaders for hopefully an unforgettable season.
Being Spike is a very important job. He has a lot of responsibilities as Spike, to hype up the crowd and the football team. The student who is behind Spike cannot wait to hype up the crowd. He is thrilled to be Spike and hopefully does him justice.
“Honestly, this is such a thrill, I love it,” said Spike.
Spike is very excited for many things, but there are some particular things that he is extremely excited to see this upcoming football season.
“I’m excited to kick the tigers and win every single game!” said Spike.
He’s very confident and has high hopes about the UIL competition this upcoming January.
“Honestly, I think we’re going to whoop it,” said Spike. “Everyone’s going to be thrilled to see Austin High School and we’re going to win.”
The student behind Spike also encouraged students to try out to be Spike after him, saying that it’s a very fun thing to do and they won’t regret it.
“I think everyone else should try it after me,” said Spike.
Spike cannot wait for football season and to cheer and hype everyone up. He hopes he can do Spike justice and have lots of fun this season cheering the football team on.
