Recognized for her dedication to students and the school community

Congratulations to Mrs. Rives for being named Teacher of the Year. Her hard work and dedication inside and outside the classroom have been recognized by students, administrators, andfellow teachers.
This honor highlights Mrs. Rives’ deep commitment to supporting her students while staying actively involved in our school community, something she values deeply.
“It feels great to be recognized by the admin, student and my peers because i work hard to help my student so the recognition is very nice.” Mrs. Rives said.
Her appreciation for the school is tied to her long-standing connection to Austin.
“My favorite thing about Austin is the community. I went to high school here, and now my kid goes here as well. I like being involved in all the events, especially the football games,” she said.
Above everything else, Mrs. Rives said her students are the most rewarding part of her job.
“I love my students; they make me laugh and seeing them make connections in class is amazing to see,” said Mrs. Rives. “I love ending the day with a smile.”
