Our tennis team here at Austin has had an eventful season. All their hard work has paid off once again this year because they are going to the state playoffs for the 20th time in the last 20 years. They have gone to the playoffs for the past several years and they achieved their goal of advancing again.

Although they got off to a rough start this year, they managed to pull through and secure a spot in the state playoffs. Our Bulldogs worked hard and played hard to secure their spot.

“Our season did start out kind of rough, but the players did amazing, and we ended up having a great season.” said captain Issha Desai.

The Dawgs were expecting to make the playoffs from the very beginning, and they were firm on that belief.

“I did expect to make it this far,” said boys captain, Rajan Parikh. “I firmly believed that we were heading to the playoffs.”

The tennis team is very enthusiastic about making it to the playoffs and can’t wait to see if their hard work pays off and they manage to secure the championship. They will play Shadow Creek on Tuesday in bi-distrit action.

“I’m very excited to be in the playoffs. I think we have a real chance to make a run this year,” said Rajan. “I can’t wait to watch our work pay off.”

Good luck to our Bulldog tennis team in the state playoffs.
